You hit two of my favorite places for food.

The last time I was in NOLA proper was for the Mardi Gras Marathon. A young lady staying in the same hotel and I stopped at Cafe du Monde for breakfast on the way to the start.

I need to hit Ralph and Kacoo's the next time I pass through.Travellerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17263645693176777616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5377250274517734866.post-32087872719334089362013-12-07T12:12:06.350-04:002013-12-07T12:12:06.350-04:00LOL that's usually MY job! I hardly ever cook bacon because I just know that it will live on our walls and ceiling forever... but every once in a while... You've just gotta have bacon!

Thank you so much Marie for your comments! and don't forget that recipe. He has a "sensitive" smeller and the lingering food smells make him crazy. Fish, bacon and fried food all get cooked outside. At home and the boat! I'm at work; but I will send myself an email to dig out the recipe for you.Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11555524232243452021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5377250274517734866.post-55101389852464776492013-12-05T11:20:53.198-04:002013-12-05T11:20:53.198-04:00Marie I would love to have your recipe. I'ld love to try them. Thank!Tammy Swarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06779759048984133676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5377250274517734866.post-7870990993544989862013-12-05T09:23:17.310-04:002013-12-05T09:23:17.310-04:00I'll bet you are looking forward to warmer cli...I'll bet you are looking forward to warmer climates. I hear there is supposed to be quite the cold snap nationally over the next few days.

It always amazes me how quickly the boat space closes up when we have company. We have an aft cabin. So we have our "bedroom" in the back, a V berth with a short queen size bed and then a queen size sofa bed in the salon. Even if we just have one couple as guests it gets pretty crowded fast. I always ask people to pack light and most do. But every summer I have four girlfriends come for at least a night and sometimes a weekend. Women need stuff! Hubby retreats to the bridge and pretty much stays there. LOL

I have a wonderful recipe for biegnet's if you would like it. They are very easy to make. I've made them before on a boat weekend with other boaters. All you really need is an electric frying pan. They go over so well and are a wonderful treat. You make the dough the day before and just fry them up in the morning. We set up our aluminum roll up table on the dock and away we go....Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11555524232243452021noreply@blogger.com
