I visited Aguirr...Thank you so much for this post. I visited Aguirre with my sister last July and wondered what had happened there.<br /> I had not been back since 1976 when I lived in El Coqui with my aunt and grandfather. It saddened me to see so many ruins. I would have liked to buy them all and restore it. <br />I remember the hotel. The hospital was a little across from it, as I recall. My older brother use to caddy at the golf course. The post office is still there near the “thermoelectrica and the Central.<br />If I had a preference of a place to live it would be my mom’s home time, my father’s house in El Coqui or Aguirre where my father grew up.
