BVI Vacation Week 2 with the In-Laws Virgin Gorda

Morning at Cooper Island was beautiful as usual. Bruce and I sat on deck reading while we waited for Phil and Jackie to awaken. A light shower came over. It was almost just heavy humidity, it was so light... It did however, leave in it's wake... a very distinct and beautiful rainbow which stretched from the island next to us over the Sir Francis Drake channel to Road Harbor Tortola. It pays to be an early bird in the BVIs

We set sail for Leverick Bay. We had a very pleasant transit. Phil loves to pose for pictures and never lets an opportunity to sneak a kiss go.

We set off on a shore adventure as soon as we got to Leverick. It was still early enough to take the taxi over the top to the Baths. You might think that doing this two weeks in a row would be uninteresting... NOT So!

If you will look closely at this picture, you can see the light colored edge on the horizon. This is Anegada! Bruce and I have done this drive many times and have never been able to see it. We were thrilled!

We had a great time showing the in-laws the path down to the Bath's and exploring the caves there. Poor Phil got stuck lugging all of the snorkel gear which we didn't even use because we ran short of time.

We had told our driver to pick us up at a pre-arranged time and still wanted to eat lunch at the Top of the Bath's Restaurant. We had a great lunch and a dip in the pool that I personally think, has the best view in the world.

It

had been a very long day and we spent a bit of time shopping at Leverick Bay, then went back to the boat and had sundowners while Jackie whipped up a fabulous chicken dish. It was very complicated and we loved it! Thanks Jackie!
